Lockdown in Spain-Day 25, memories and visions

Madrid, early 2009

That seems such a long time ago.  Mingling with crowds, moving freely, having a great lunch in a restaurant.  I wonder when we can do that again. If we can do it again-what will be different?  Will self-service through an air-locked pass-through be the norm?  Will the wait staff be a robot with an electrified voice, understandable only after one pushes a button on its forehead indicating which language it should mumble at the customer?  Will the anonymous chef be many kilometers away in an hermetically isolated cavern, sealing his delicacies in plastic to be delivered by drones and reheated in microwaves in the "kitchen"?

And the entertainment...will it be a facsimile of a human, up on a screen, as anonymous as the chef?

And what will become of laughter?
